Montelena - SOLD!
Written by Bob Truetken
Monday, 28 July 2008

I received this from Brad Molander who did the presentation on Napa Valley.

This is quite simply a shocker. There are actually 3 different movies being made about Montelena. It is a really neat story and unfortunate for Napa Valley. Several of the top wineries in Napa and Sonoma are now owned by the French. This winery was (is arguably) solely responsible for Napa's dominating presence in the world today.

Martha and I stopped by there this spring, it was absolutely the best Chardonnay I have ever had.
