To increase the body of a finished wine, add Glycerine to it.  Glycerine is a natural by-product of any fermentation. It is what gives a wine its viscosity or mouth-feel.

You can see evidence of its existence in any wine by swirling the wine in a wine glass and noticing how long it lingers on the side-wall of the glass before settling back into place. This is referred to as the wine's "lace."

Heavier red wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and others are known for their rich, smooth body. It is this body which helps the flavor of these wines to linger a bit longer on the taste buds giving them a much fuller and softer impression.

Glycerine is very easy to use, just simply pour into any wine to taste. Typically, anywhere from 2 to 4 ounces is suitable for a 5 or 6 gallon batch of wine, but you may want to experiment with smaller amounts of wine first to establish a dosage level.
