I bottled the cider yesterday. Made 20.5 beer bottles. The SG started at 1.052 and ended at 1.032, so by my calculation... that would be only about 2% alcohol. I'm kind of surprised that is all the alcohol it produced. However, the cider was still pretty carbonated and I'm not sure how much of a difference that will make on my ending SG reading.

When I open my first bottle, I'll probably pour it from glass to glass for a bit to try to make the cider flat and try another reading... I'm hoping there is really more than just 2% alcohol.

The carbonated cider (that I added 1/2 tsp of sugar to the bottle) is now sitting for 2 weeks at room temperature, then it will be refrigerated for two days. Then it is ready to drink!

I'll probably bring a few bottles to the next meeting just for fun... I think it will be close enough to two weeks .
