Last year, we had 267 entries from 13 states.

We have a number of judges from Missouri and Illinois Wineries and Wine Related Businesses.

This year, we have 23 awards in 13 categories with 2 new categories.

Winemaker of the Year-This award will be given to the individual whose top 6 scoring wines have the highest average score among all participants. You must enter at least 6 wines to qualify for this award.

Fruit/Grape Wine Kit-This award is for wines enteried using Island Mist, Orchard Breezin and similar type wine kits.

2012 MVWS Wine Competition is coming together

The competition is coming together. The entries are starting to come in. We have a great list of sponsors this year that has allowed us to give gift certificates to the Best of Show award, Winemaker of the Year award as well as first and second place to each of the other 11 wine categories. Please visit each of our sponsors by clicking on their logo. They will appreciate it and you may find some great deals on their website also. It is not too late to enter. Download the brochure on our website and get your wines and entry form in by February 13th.
